Well, according to the german "Brockhaus" encyclopedia's foot note "words you cannot find under C you also can look for under K..." - that's what is confirmed in my ancestral research. And indeed it can be interesting, too: There is a direct relationship to the Culmsee's - Kulmsee's - Colmsee's - Kolmsee's families... ]

CHELMZA, town at the province [Woiwodschaft] Torún (Thorn), Poland, at the Culmsee [Culm-lake], in agricultural area, (1984) 15100 inhabitants; sugar factory, leather and wood manufacturing, building material industry. - C., mentioned in 1222 as village for the first time, receipted freedom of the city in 1251. Umgebung, (1984) 15100 Ew.; Zuckerfabrik, Leder-, Holzverarbeitung, Baustoffindustrie. -  C., als Dorf 1222 erstmals erwähnt, erhielt 1251 Stadtrecht. Bis 1821 war C.
